Terms and privacy in brief

Last updated: 4 November 2026

This is a plain-English summary for English-speaking clients. The French conditions générales and politique de confidentialité are the legal versions; if the two differ, the French text applies. Questions? Email bonjour@bonjourvitrine.fr.

Who I am

This summary is for business owners in France who read English better than French. Pankti Patel, sole trader (entrepreneur individuel) trading as Bonjour Vitrine. SIRET 132 135 401 00017, registered in Paris (132 135 401 R.C.S. Paris). Address: c/o Hellodom, 173 rue de Courcelles, 75017 Paris. I am not VAT-registered, so no VAT is added (art. 293 B CGI). My services are for businesses only.

The demo and the quote

  • The demo is free. If you don’t want it, I delete it.
  • Everything is agreed in writing: you sign the quote online.
  • Your site goes live 7 working days after I receive your photos, prices and details. Two rounds of changes are included.

Paying

  • In full: 40% when you sign, the rest when the site goes live.
  • In 12 instalments: a 12-month subscription invoiced every month (about 8% more), paid directly to me by SEPA direct debit. It covers your site, its hosting and upkeep for 12 months, and the site becomes yours after the 12th payment. It is a 12-month commitment: if you stop early, the remaining payments are still due. You can pay off the rest at any time.
  • Late payments carry the penalties set by French law (3 × the legal interest rate and a €40 recovery fee).
  • If an invoice is still unpaid 8 days after two written reminders, I can pause the hosting of the site until it is paid.

Who owns what

  • Your domain name and professional email are in your name from day one.
  • The site is yours once it is fully paid. Until then, you use it freely.
  • Small reusable tools and licensed fonts and images stay with their authors, but you can use them with your site for as long as you like.
  • If you leave, I give you your files (once the site is paid for) and your domain transfer code, free of charge.
  • I never show your site as an example of my work without your written agreement.

Cooling-off period

If a contract is concluded away from my premises (for example at an in-person meeting) with a client who has five employees or fewer and whose purchase is outside their main business activity (art. L221-3 of the French Consumer Code), the client has 14 days to withdraw without giving a reason, and no payment is due during the first 7 days.

Upkeep from year 2

  • €19 or €29 a month (or €190 / €290 a year), no commitment, one month’s notice.
  • The price is guaranteed for the two years after the first one; any later increase is announced 3 months ahead, and you can then stop at no cost.
  • If I ever stop my business, I warn you at least 3 months ahead and help you move your site.

Responsibility and disputes

  • I don’t promise any Google ranking or sales result.
  • Except for serious or deliberate fault, my liability is limited to what you paid me over the last 12 months.
  • French law applies. We first try to settle any disagreement amicably; otherwise the courts of Paris decide.

Your data

  • I use the details you send (business name, town, type of business, email, optional mobile, message) only to prepare your demo and reply. They are kept 6 months if we don’t work together.
  • This site uses no cookies that need your consent, no analytics and no advertising.
  • Legal basis: steps taken at your request before a contract (GDPR art. 6(1)(b)) and my legitimate interest in replying. My service providers: Netlify (hosting and forms), Automattic (Akismet spam filter, used by Netlify), WhatsApp (only if you give a mobile number and choose to chat there), Google (my email) and, for your own mailbox, OVH. Some are based in the US and rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. Full privacy policy (in French): politique de confidentialité.
  • You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, or object to it being used, at any time: just email me. You can also complain to the CNIL (cnil.fr).
