Traditional Lyon bistro (bouchon) in La Croix-Rousse
Chez Pétronille
Tuesday to Friday, lunch and dinner. Saturday, dinner.
Our story
In 1962, Pétronille’s grandmother opened this bouchon for the workers of the Croix-Rousse silk workshops. She cooked whatever she found at the market that morning, and wrote it up in chalk.
Pétronille took over in 2011. She kept the checked tablecloths, the quenelle recipe and the chalkboard habit: it still changes every morning.
